TOPIC: Help with Plug-In Creation

Help with Plug-In Creation 1 year 10 months ago #764

Hello! I am Bean. I will be developing plugins for CloneApp, as I think it's a great program and absolutely needed in today's PC environment. I am SO SICK of losing settings or forgetting to back things up when I migrate or refresh a PC. As this program is great, it is also lacking plugins. So I hope to help with this.

So, I started out by trying to create my first plugin. I want to backup DisplayFusion and it's settings. They are simply registry backups.

However, after creating the plugin, at output, I end up with a cloneapp2.ini on the desktop, and no backup of my actual registry keys. What am I missing!?

Here is the plugin file I made: DisplayFusion.plg
Description=Backup DisplayFusion Configuration from Registry.

File1=BackupRegKey|HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Binary Fortress Software

The only thing I can think of, is that the key has spaces in the name.. so I tried it with "", but still nothing.

Help please! If I can figure out what the deal is, I can start working on other plugins. :D
