I'm pleased to announce release 0.7.5 of Debotnet.
This is another step forward for Debotnet which adds support for the famous GitHub repository Debloat-Windows-10 by Alex Hirsch.
The project W4RH4WK/Debloat-Windows-10 collects PowerShell scripts which help to debloat Windows 10. It offers some features missing in Debotnet, like an PowerShell script to block telemetry related domains via the hosts file and related IPs via Windows Firewall.
The four most valuable scripts are now also available in Debotnet and can be executed directly from the application. The project is integrated as a separate category in Debotnet > debloat windows 10. It is flagged as a Patron.
The scripts are designed to run without any user-interaction. You can modify them beforehand by running in Test script mode, making your changes and going live by hitting Run script afterwards.
The complete release notes can bew viewed here.
If you encounter messages from your AV (Bitdefender, GData, Emisoft) flagging Debotnet.exe as Virus/Trojan, please note that all these are FALSE POSITIVES. Bitdefender share their definitions with other AV vendors (such as Emisoft, GData etc.) and all are reporting the same results. Bitdefender updated their engine and since three weeks I can not control these false positives, except reporting them to their Labs. Usually the detection is removed up to 24 hours.
Debotnet requires Windows 10 including both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
